Everything is set for the start of the Euro 4 Championship 2024, with the first round of the season taking place this weekend, from August 23 to 25, at the historic Mugello Circuit. Now in its second edition, the Formula 4 championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion is solidifying its reputation as one of the most prestigious platforms for young motorsport talents on the international stage, standing alongside the Italian Championship as a key reference point in the world of single-seater competitions.

After a highly successful inaugural season, the 2024 edition promises to be even more intense and fiercely contested. Thirty drivers from 20 different nations are set to line up for the opening race, ready to battle on one of Europe’s most technical and captivating circuits. The competition level will be exceptionally high, featuring a lineup of the best talents from the Italian F.4 Championship, now eager to take on this new international challenge.

Last year, the title was claimed by Ugo Ugochukwu, the young American talent from the Prema Racing team, who managed to stand out in a tightly contested and highly competitive championship. With a season full of surprises and thrilling battles, Ugochukwu made history by becoming the first name inscribed in the championship's history, confirming his place among the future stars of motorsport.

This year, new aspiring champions are ready to take his place, with teams and drivers determined to shine in a series that is rapidly becoming a launching pad toward higher categories.

The Mugello Circuit, with its 5.245 meters of challenging corners and elevation changes, will be the perfect stage for the season opener. Known for its blend of speed and technical demands, this track will provide a crucial test for drivers and teams, immediately highlighting their vehicle management and race strategy skills.

The opening weekend will follow the classic format of three races, preceded by free practice and qualifying sessions. The schedule begins on Friday, August 23, with two free practice sessions (10:05 - 10:45 and 14:10 - 14:50), followed by Saturday’s qualifying sessions divided into two parts (8:30 - 8:45 and 8:55 - 9:10), leading up to Race 1 at 16:30. Sunday, August 25, will feature the remaining two races: Race 2 at 8:50 and Race 3, the grand finale of the weekend, at 16:00. Each race will last 30 minutes plus one lap.

Fans can follow the action live on the Euro 4 Championship’s YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as on ACI Sport TV (channel 228 on Sky, channel 52 on Tivù Sat, and streaming on www.acisport.it). Additionally, coverage will be extended to a wide network of international broadcasters, including the DAZN platform, ensuring global visibility for a championship that is increasingly significant in the world of junior racing series.

Expectations are high for this second edition of the Euro 4 Championship, which promises to deliver an exciting season full of twists and turns, with a future champion ready to emerge from the very first laps at Mugello.
